The region offers plenty of family-friendly activities. The Walibi Rhône-Alpes theme park welcomes children and teenagers with its themed zones, thrilling rides and relaxation areas.

The lakes, forests and walking trails are perfect for organising days out with picnics, nature watching, mushroom picking and outdoor games. The surrounding villages also offer markets, local festivals and museums that will delight visitors of all ages.

In fine weather, the rivers and lakes become popular destinations for cooling off or enjoying water sports. The River Rhône, the River Guiers and Lake Paladru are ideal for swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing, sailing or simply relaxing by the water’s edge. All around the estate, nature unfolds in all its panoramic glory. The region is ideal for hiking, trail running, horse riding, cycling and mountain biking. For long-distance cyclists, the ViaRhôna offers an iconic cycle route along the River Rhône, stretching from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean.

Further afield, at 30–60 miles from the estate, the large regional nature parks (Chartreuse, Bauges, Vercors and Écrins) offer spectacular landscapes featuring unspoilt valleys, cliffs and remarkable biodiversity.

Winter sports and breathtaking views

In winter, Isère and the Haute-Savoie region welcome visitors for winter sports. The resorts of Les 2 Alpes, L’Alpe d’Huez, Chamrousse and Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse offer a wide range of slopes, winter sports and panoramic views.

Further north, La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand stand out for their mountain village charm and family-friendly facilities. Downhill skiing, sledging, snow-shoeing and ice skating all make for winter days full of charm.
